Northern Hay was built in 1902 and named because it was next to hay fields by Lee beach. It has been our family home for seventy five years. Recently refurbished throughout, it is extremely comfortable and well equipped for a short or long stay.
Downstairs: There is off street parking for one car. The front door leads to the wooden floored hallway. The sitting room is at the front of the house and has large windows, an open fireplace, two comfortable sofas and an armchair, an oak coffee table, a new TV, free serve box, and dvd player. There are lots of dvd's and family board games in the cupboard. The second reception room has two armchairs and a sofa, an open fireplace, mantle with antique mantle mirror, coffee table and a display cabinet. This room leads to the kitchen. The large fitted kitchen overlooks the back garden; it has stainless steel hood and gas hob, electric oven, teak style units and black marble effect worktops. There is a fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, radio and cd player with cds, table with six chairs, sliding double doors to patio and back garden. The Kitchen is generously provided with lots of quality china, glass, cutlery, utensils, serving bowls etc. plus iron and ironing board. Off the kitchen eating area, there is a large shower room with WC and basin. The south facing enclosed back garden has an extensive patio area with barbecue, large table, parasol and garden chairs, rotary clothes line, lawn, trees and many plants and shrubs. Upstairs: Three double bedrooms, one with a 5ft double bed, one with two single beds, and one with one single bed with a full sized pullout bed if required. Duvets and linen are on all beds. The rooms are furnished to a very high standard throughout. The fully tiled bathroom has a bath, overhead shower unit, basin, WC and fitted cabinet and towel rail.
